The other night my husband was going to be home late & I honestly didn't want to make dinner for just one, so I chose takeout. I was craving Chinese food & found that this place was pretty close to me. Within 3 miles to qualify for free delivery. I saw the many good reviews, so I gave it a go. Worst decision of my life. This was some of the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten & I've been eating it for a long time! I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Sweet & Pungent Shrimp, per some of the other reviewers recommendations. It cost me $32.00 & a $5 tip because the man that delivered was nice enough. The chicken had no spice to it even though I saw red peppers & it was super greasy. All I tasted was black bean saltiness or soy sauce. The shrimp was the most disgusting part. I have made better shrimp on my own. The portions were gigantic, but who wants a whole lot of garbage. This place makes Panda Express appetizing. I'm sorry I don't know how anyone likes this food. I will not be ordering there again. Moving on!

You know you're in a Korean-owned Chinese restaurant when the menu has Korean translation next to the Chinese names. So, if you're looking for authentic mainland Chinese food, you're looking at the wrong place. There is a noticeable difference between Korean Chinese food and authentic Chinese food.Decor:The place is pretty big, so it's good for large groups. If you've seen the movie, Drive, then you'll know what the place looks like since it was filmed here. The typical food you'll encounter at a Korean style Chinese restaurant:1) Jja jang myun - the portion was pretty huge! I recommend sharing with someone. The noodles were soft and the black sauce was pretty good. Nothing out of this world, but good enough to order every time I was here.2) Jampong - one of the better ones compared to other Korean Chinese restaurants.3) Yaki Mandu (fried dumplings) - Looks more like potstickers. The outside was thick and crunchy while the meat and veggie mixture inside was juicy. I don't think I've ever been disappointed with yaki mandu at any restaurant. If they mess this up, they shouldn't be in business.4) Gampong sae-wu (Shrimp) - The sauce was sweet with a hint of spicy. I always enjoyed this here because the batter has been consistently crispy and the sauce was good.4) Tang soo yook (fried pork) - I recommend that you get the sauce on the side, because the sauce can be overwhelming sometimes and it'll get soggy. I found this dish to be very inconsistent. There have been many times that it was good, but there were times that it failed.Service:A little slow.Parking:There is a lot behind the restaurant and some metered spots on Sherman Way.

For those looking for a typical Chinese restaurant, look elsewhere. For those that know and are looking for Korean style Chinese food, this is it!! FINALLY, we found a great Korean style Chinese restaurant in the SFV without having to drive to K-Town or Garden Grove. The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant serves classic Korean Style dishes such as Jja Jang Myun, Jampong, Yaki Mandu, gampong se-wu, tangsuyuk, and mild kimchi. They also had excellent Mongolian beef and steamed buns. Our boys actually like this place better than our standard, Peking in Garden Grove. That says a LOT.I love the funky old-school interior. I wouldn't change a thing. We are big fans and will now be regulars when in the mood for Korean style Chinese food. What a find!!!

Worst. Food. Ever.A friend brought their Broccoli Beef over for dinner last night and I'm glad he told me is Broccoli Beef because it smelled like old fish. The dish is 90% broccoli, which were the limp green things in the dish. I'm guessing the "beef" were the brown things, but I'm sure they were from a part of the cow I've never eaten before and hope I never do again.

Kitchen is not consistent. However, when it is good, it is really good. When it is not as good, it is okay. I love the pepper beef on sizzling platter (I think that is what it is called). Often times, the beef is wonderful. ...?
